Series of debates organized by the Czech Chamber of Commerce during the Czech Presidency of the EU
13 years after it last held the EU presidency, Czechia will again take up the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2022. For the new government, this will be an opportunity to organize its priorities for EU outreach and present to the public and the businesses the true impacts of Brussels decision-making on the national economy. The government will also be able to promote its objectives in individual policy areas.
The goal of the Czech Chamber of Commerce’s initiative is to engage Czech and foreign businesses active in Czechia in the debate and give them an opportunity to have a say in an open dialogue between the private sector, the Czech government, and representatives of European institutions. In this regard, the Chamber aims to:
- enable Czech businesses to share their views and propose solutions to pressing European problems which will be on the agenda of the Czech Presidency;
- enable Czech businesses to be heard on the national as well as the EU level and share their experiences and opinions with the European institutions and other member states;
- promote dialogue about practical aspects of European policies in the Czech public debate.
The project will take place under the auspices of the Vice-President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce Tomáš Prouza.
